The creation of life is explained very briefly in the following verses:

"From the highest planet in the material world down to the lowest, all are places of misery wherein repeated birth and death take place. But one attains to my Abode, O Arjuna, never takes birth again."(Chap 8 -verse 16)

"By human calculation, a thousand ages taken together form the duration of Brahma's one day. And such also is the duration of his night."(Chap 8 -verse 17)

"At the beginning of Brahma's day, all living creatures become manifest from the unmanifest state, and thereafter, when the night falls, they are merged into the unmanifest again."(Chap 8 -verse 18)

"Again and again, when Brahma's day arrives, all living entities come into being, and with the arrival of Brahma's night they are helplessly annihilated."(Chap 8 -verse 19)

"Arjuna, during the end of the millennium all material manifestations enter into My nature, and the beginning of another millennium, by My potency, I create them again."(Chap 9 -verse 7)

"Understand that as the mighty wind, blowing everywhere, rests always in the sky, all created beings rest in Me."(Chap 9 -verse 6)
